Thank you for the invitation to post. I have had a long standing crush on an individual, it has been about 4 years. What is he feeling in return? Why have I felt this connection to him for so long? What kind of a future is there? Secondly, am I doing (career-wise) what I am meant to be doing or is there a different destiny I should be following? Thirdly, have I met the person I am supposed to be with as a life partner?

My intuition is that you have not yet reached your potential either romantically or in your career.
Your intuition for you is better than mine or anyone else's, and I am not 100% correct.
Saying that, I feel that this man is not the life partner and your heart and soul needs different or additional work. I stongly feel that you need to do some charity or community work. I feel that you can learn sign language. You need to be using your artistic talents.
For me, SK is not the "one", and this is a difficult relationship period for you. Lay low, focus on yourself.
