Holy One, I choose to focus on this moment and forget the past. I know that now is the time for me. I cannot change what has gone before, but I can and do open myself to all that is now. My ego would have me beat myself eternally for what I did or didn't do, keeping me stuck in the "what might have been" places. No more! Right now, in this very moment, I am awake and ready. I forgive myself for all errors of the past, and I know that the best is yet to be.Y our presence within me is like a mighty river, carrying me forward in a continuous flow of good. I strongly feel that little Haleigh in Florida is no longer alive. I sense her presence within 10-25 miles of her home.
She was abducted by a white male in his 40's, heavy set and unknown to the child. He drives a van, light color, with dents or rust patches. Florida or Georgia license plates.


I extend my deepest condolences to Haliegh's family.

Dear God, I am not sure what to pray for today. Sometimes, I have thought that I knew what was best in a given situation; only to have what I prayed for turn out to be only a further complication. So in this moment, I pray for Your will for me and for our world. I do not know what the solutions are to my own challenges or the bigger issues we face as a nation and as a species on this planet. I seek an understanding of Your will and the faith to live it out. I pray for wisdom to notice where You are leading me. I ask for the courage to let go and immerse myself in You. As I release this prayer to the workings of Spirit, I am content to let it be. Amen

Am I right?

Hi Rose,

I have a date set for court asking for discovery. This was all started by my son's father. Ever since I got the transfer of venue form his county to mine, now he wants to drop the case he started. I am agreeable as long as we make things fair this time. even amount of vacation and I asked to keep healthcare coverage for our son because I am more stable. I told him I am more than willing work things out however, I wanted child support recalculated if I am to carry Brandon on my policy. And for other reasons....lavish Caribbean vacations, expensive presents, purchasing a franchise, new cars and so on. He is convinced he will have support lowered and claim full custody. Do you think I am right pursing child support recalculations? 5-3-59 SYZ

Curious about the place I live in.

Hola Everyone ... HIYA ROSE!!! :-)

Ok a little sad subject but I was curious and it's been on my mind.

For some reason there has been a "wave" almost going on down here with regards to the crime increase and suicide rates this way. The suicide in particular down here because in January there was a total of 3 persons (2 of them within 24 hours of each other) who took their own lives due to depression/finances/loss of jobs etc. Such closeness of events haven't happened in my memory before.

I was wondering if you saw if this was a "trend" developing with our nation?

We also have a brewing pot of "cultural unrest" I think. You know Bahamians, Hatians, Jamaicans especially have issues with each other with regards to coming illegally etc./jobs going to non-Bahamians etc. We've had a few small protests and lil riots coming from the Hatian & Jamaican communities down here ... do you think things will boil over?

Aloha Rose,
I hope everyone is doing fine in blogland. Rose, I hope your semester is going well. I'm okay. Very contemplative about life right now. A little down, but know it's all part of the cycle and I will feel better soon.

I broke up with FLD and it was not as hard as I thought it would be. It's not him I miss. It's having someone around to talk to and love that I miss. But the way things were with him and his situation, I'd rather deal with the loneliness for now. Besides I'm too busy trying to decide whether I want to stick to women's studies/anthropology or delve into the art field. My heart says art. Maybe museum curator or something.

This year is starting to look worse than last...lol! My car broke down and I'm broke! Bills pile up and on and on...it's never ending. But I just keep putting out one fire then moving onto the next. I hope it ends soon. I know much of it is my negligence. And it's keeping me from the real stuff I'm supposed to do in life. So yep, there are lessons there. I'm learning, Rose!
