As Ice Is To Water

All beings are by nature Buddha, as ice by nature is water. Apart from water there is no ice; apart from beings, no Buddha.

The Inner Beauty of Children .....

Look at children. Of course they may quarrel, but generally speaking they do not harbor ill feelings as much or as long as adults do. Most adults have the advantage of education over children, but what is the use of an education if they show a big smile while hiding negative feelings deep inside? Children dont usually act in such a manner. If they feel angry with someone, they express it, and then it is finished. They can still play with that person the following day.

A New Semester

Aloha Bloggies and Boardies

A new semester has begun as I move onward and upward toward my academic goals.
This usually means that I do not have a lot of time to devote to this blog.
I will, however, check in and see what's going on, I have also arranged notifications to be sent to me when you post.

So keep posting and I will respond to you as soon as I am able to.

Much aloha, don't worry so much, be kind, come from a place of love...

Peace and love

Dear Rose
My situation has litle bit changed. I changed supervisors (I turned down two womens' supervisors). and tried to ask to change a direction of my research paper to new supervisor.

follow-up

Dear Ma-Rose,

I am normally in charge of their communications during their major Parliamentary seatings at this time of the year, since the person they have employed full-time is not effective. I am therefore a seasonal employee at the Pan African Parliament. How then could they forget my existence when I have bailed them out so many times? At this time I normally know when I'm leaving Cape Town and not if. Please help me check what the cause of the delay could be.

Getting desperate.

Love in Action

Once you've understood that the world is love in action, you will look at it quite differently. First your attitude to suffering must change. Suffering is primarily a call for attention, which itself is a movement of love. More than happiness, love wants growth, the widening and deepening of awareness and consciousness and being. Whatever prevents that becomes a cause of pain, and love does not shirk from pain.

Thank you Richie K. for the above

Trevina

Okay my dear I sent you a new invitation. Let me know if it works please.

Please tell Tasha that Bob's okay...I'm sensing a couple of somewhat minor injuries but he is alive and otherwise well.

Love to you both

Oh Ma-Rose,

I try so hard to be positive in validation of your assertion.
What could be the cause of the delay though?

Artist in Partnership

"We take no step unpartnered. We may feel like the fool from the Tarot deck, stepping heedlessly into blank space, but that is not reality. The Great Creator is an artist and he/she/it is an artist in partnership with other artists. The moment we open ourselves to making art, we simultaneously open ourselves to our maker. We are automatically partnered."
~Julia Cameron
Every reality is eternal, every essence is as is: just don't seek outwardly. If you have a great root of faith, the buddhas are just states of your own experience; whether you are walking, standing, sitting, or lying down, never is it not this.

Powerful Intuition

My dearest Ma-Rose,

I hope that you are well. I have so convinced myself that by mid-August
this month, I shall have left Cape Town for the Pan African Parliament.
The call from them however has yet to come and I even sent a text message
to one of the administration heads letting him know of my interest to being there.
Please tell me what if anything is holding them back and whether you do see me leaving
Cape Town for the Pan African Parliament by mid-month, if not, when?

Thanking you in advance.

Kindest regardxs,
LM: June 22, 1972
Ps. I emailed a copy of my picture as well.

Love Will Prevail

“Be a sweet melody in the great orchestration, instead of a discordant note.
The medicine this sick world needs is love. Hatred must be replaced by love,
and fear by faith that love will prevail."

Seeing the way it is...

When a person has lived properly and acted generously, he grasps the way things are. He is not dependent on attachments; he is free from anger and aversions; what he does becomes perfect action. The pureness of perfectly balanced action based on seeing the way things are--this is freedom and the ending of ignorance.

To the Divine Mind

Dear "God",

You are Life itself, pouring into expression in every moment.
As I think about the thousands of forms life takes on this planet, I am deeply humbled.
When I consider the billions of planets in the universe, I am awed.
I know that every expression of life is an act of Your continuous creation.
I realize that every living thing is sacred.
Help me to live gently and peacefully with all.
Thank You, God.

Ethics

Whether we believe in God or karma, ethics is the foundation of every religion.

- His Holiness the Dalai Lama

Slow Down Stay Sane

"An amazing thing happens when we slow down. We start to get flashes of inspiration. We reach a new level of understanding and even wisdom. In a quiet moment we can get an intuitive insight that can change our entire life and the lives of the people around us in incredibly positive ways. And those changes can last a lifetime. Living more simply will make it possible to create those quiet moments. Out of those quiet moments miracles happen. Be open to them.”

Cultivation

"To deepen the relationship with the Beloved, follow the same principles
of relationship that you pursue in the human realm. Thus you live the
relationship throughout the day, bringing the same sensitivity to nuance
and fine tuning that you would bring to a human love relationship."
~Jean Houston

Lakota Wisdom

Meditation August 5
"You have to have a lot of patience to hear those old people talk, because when they talk, they talk about motivation, the feeling, the unsound that is around the universe. They explain everything to one understanding. They bring it all together, and when they finish, just one word comes out. Just one word. They might talk all day, and just one word comes out."
-- Wallace Black Elk, LAKOTA
We need to be careful about judging the old ones when we talk. At first they may not make sense to us. Maybe we'll say they're old fashioned and don't understand. But the old ones do understand! When they speak, listen very carefully. Often it will take weeks or maybe even years before we understand what they are really saying. This is the way of Wisdom. We need to listen, listen, listen.

Good Morning Buddha!

Gratitude - A Love letter To God

Thank You, Creator of the Universe, for the gift of life you have given me. Thank You for giving me everything that I have ever truly needed. Thank You for the opportunity to experience this beautiful body and this wonderful mind. Thank You for living inside of me with all Your love, with Your pure and boundless spirit, with Your warm and radiant light.
Thank You for using my words, for using my eyes, for using my heart to share Your love wherever I go.
I love You just the way You are, and because I am Your creation, I love myself
just the way I am.
Help me to keep the love and the peace in my heart and to make that love a new way of life, that I may live in love the rest of my life.
And so it is….
