Listening to What?

I have an ego, but I am not my ego.
Meditation
Dear God, It is an interesting twist that both the source of unhappiness and the source of joy are within me. I turn within and move past my ego, to You. There are times that my ego sounds like a brass band, and Your voice is like a child's laughter. This is particularly true for me, when I listen with my ears alone. You speak to me in my feelings, through my heart. As I open my heart to Your people, I am open to hear You. From this open and vulnerable place, I learn to listen and to follow Your guidance. So it is. Amen
