I love this image! And the words are so true. I know that many people do not even try to know themselves...rather they run in the opposite direction. Sometimes it is difficult for me to be out in public because I can sense the "blindness" that our world seems to be in...at times it makes me angry, most days it makes me sad. How does one know when they have reached complete knowledge of Self? Or is that even possible?
One attains complete knowledge of Self through meditation. The soul, our consciousness, our real being, awaits our acknowledgement. It is very possible to attain this for some. Not all beings can evolve the same way at the same time. Most people are sleep walking so they are oblivious to the obvious. We can't wake them up we can only plant seeds, they have to awaken themselves. The ego holds on for dear life, that is why meditation is so simple but difficult. When we identify with the soul and not the ego we are awakened. love you, thanks for the great questions! ~R
