Visitation

Aloha Rose,

My son, lmc 7-26-94 is scheduled for visitation with his father for Christmas; however, he is refusing to go. Do you foresee alot of drama and issues for me about this with his father lc 9-16-61? The other two children are willing and wanting to go but not him. I do understand how he feels and where he's coming from but it is just so hurtful for a Mother to watch her child hurt so. Will he be ok in the future dealings with his father?

Namaste,
Mobet

Aloha Mobet,

I feel so much compassion for the suffering of teenagers, their hormonal angst really makes them unhappy. Please, I hope you and his father don't decide to make him go on the visit. He will be okay, be patient, he has to outgrow it.
If he does stay home with you he needs a plan to stay occupied.

Namaste,
Rose

At his age, he can legally make his own decision and if his choice is not to go, he's not going. I will ensure his time is occupied. He's tired of the neglect from his father and has chosen to make a stand. I actually applaud him for recognizing and commanding how he wants to be treated at an early age, some adults still do not.

Thank you, Rose!

Mobet

I too applaud your son for having his boundaries, healthfully, set.

You're welcome Mobet,
