Aloha Rose,
dlc 4-22-66, I know that I already asked you about my divorce/support and how things were going to go; however, went for mediation yesterday and that did not go well. I am going to seek out the assistance of an attorney because my ex lied so badly about the personal items that I requested that it was horrible for me. Items that really mean alot to me especially from my Grandmother. Although, I exposed him in front of the mediator, I need someone to look out for my best interest. I am going to request attorney fees, too, how soon will we go to court for the divorce? He's requesting reduction in child support because he claims he's not working. lc 9-16-61. Is he working? I was told he's working doing something with insurance. Do you know what his new girlfriend does because apparently she loves taking care of him. Is she an attorney? Will the divorce still be fair and just? Will I get equity from our marital home? Just looking for more indepth answers about the divorce and support.

Darling you must secure an attorney. They are the ones that write the laws and therefore are the ones who know how to "work" them. It is part of the legal process to ask for the attorney fees too, not that you will definitely get them.
The divorce laws in New York are fairly equitable. lc is indeed working. Don't listen to any gossip about him, you need your intuitive God-given instincts on this matter unpolluted.
You will get what is just and fair and practical. You will eventually get equity from the marital home.
I will not read his girlfriend. It is a detour and distraction of the energy you need to accomplish your goals. Do your very best not to think about her and give her your precious energy.
Pray hard. Every single thing you need will come from God. Look to God for the fulfillment and abundance.
Keep me posted.
Love,
Rose
First, you are correct about not reading his girlfriend. I was curious as to where his legal info is coming from but mostly as to why she would want personal items that belongs to me. I do my best to not think about her; however, the idea that he can take care of her and her children and not his own are what I have issues with about her. Rose, I do realize that not everyone thinks in such a thoughtful manner but as a mother why she would condone being with such a man that sets a horrible example for her children.
LC and I filed pro se because it was supposed to be an uncontested divorce; however, he has turned nasty over my rejection of him and his proposal but mostly my request for fairness.
I apologize for not clarifying; however, the divorce will take place in Georgia. I understand that its part of the process to request attorney fees not that you will get them. Will I be granted my request for attorney fees? Will LC, too, obtain a lawyer? The unfairness of his not taking responsibility for his children is ridiculous; however, not surprising.
When gossip is discussed about him, I do take that info with a grain of salt but you are correct in that my instincts are really powerful and unpolluted when I just simply calm down, sit back and listen to God. I just needed to vent my frustrations with him as a man and father not as a husband.
My God is an awesome God! I do pray hard and will continue that. Thank you for your guidance!
Namaste,
Mobet
P.S. Happy Mother's Day!
