"A child's world is fresh and new and beautiful, full of wonder and excitement. It is our misfortune that for most of us that clear-eyed vision, that true instinct for what is beautiful and awe-inspiring, is dimmed and even lost before we reach adulthood."
~Rachel Carson
I look upon the world with a child's eyes of wonder.
Dear God,
The child in me yearns to play and run and breathe and love and be. The child in me knows You in so many ways that the adult cannot. Help me move beneath this sophisticated and intellectual illusion of adulthood and into the heart space of being Your divine child. Perhaps this afternoon we can dance to the music that only we can hear, or share an ice cream Tuesday; or color a Lion purple outside the lines? Thank You God for the open hearted child that lives in me.
