Self Love

“If love is an action, how do you express self-love? Self-love starts with having the courage to be who you are, regardless of what others might think. It is about having the courage to live your dreams, to do what makes you happy in life, so that one day you won't wake up saying, "I wish I had." Self-love is about self-care, making your health a priority. Self-love is revealed in your willingness to stay focused on the things you say are important. It's about having the courage to set boundaries and protect them.
~Francine Ward
Affirmation: Guided by Love, I carefully and tenderly care for my body, mind and spirit. Meditation:
Dear God, A peaceful quiet fills my mind as I tune into Your presence. I am grateful for the love which fills me now. In these gentle moments I am incredibly aware of Your love for me. I recall the myriad ways You care for me. My body is Your temple and my being is Your expression. I gladly accept the responsibility of caring for Your creation. Amen

Shining

"You are a human being. You have rights inherent in that reality. You have dignity and worth that exists prior to law."
~Lyn Beth Neylon

Affirmation: I am a healer, shining my love into the world.
Meditation:
Dear God, We come together in the name of Love to shine light into the darkness caused by fear. We come together in order to manifest a healing for ourselves and each other. Some people are afraid of people who look different, of people who have less or have more, of people who call You by a different name, of people because of their choice of someone to love or marry. We know that these fears are merely places that require a miracle of healing. You are the Great Physician. We are willing to be used, to be Your instruments. We join in prayer, encircling this planet with light, touching all things and all beings with love. Together, we declare the truth that each person is Your holy and precious child! We live and act from the depths of this truth. We know that there is only One. We declare our lives to be good and very good. Peace, mercy, harmony, understanding, joy, abundance, justice and love are the gifts we share from Your limitless supply. So be It! Amen

Prayers

Having an acute case of sciatica. My back is in spasm and it seems to be getting more intense. Tried several different modalities, looking for which one of God's workers can help me. This condition is keeping me up at night and has limited my ability to work. Your prayers will be appreciated for a full and complete healing of body, mind and spirit. 5.5.49

Surrender

"To some people, surrender may have negative connotations, implying defeat, giving up, failing to rise to the challenges of life, becoming lethargic, and so on. True surrender, however, is something entirely different. It does not mean to passively put up with whatever situation you find yourself in and to do nothing about it. Nor does it mean to cease making plans or initiating positive action. Surrender is the simple but profound wisdom of yielding to rather than opposing the flow of life.”
~Eckhart Tolle
Affirmation: I am surrendered to the flow of life.
Meditation:
Dear God, I trust the process of life;I believe that everything is working for good..I consciously yield myself to You. I surrender myself to love. And I gratefully let it be.

Amen

Change

"This is the first step toward understanding the process of real, lasting change; simply knowing with certainty that you can do whatever you need to do. This understanding has a dual edge, on the one hand it increases your confidence and dignity. On the other hand, it places full responsibility on you if you fail to make the change you set out to make. But this is a good thing, not a guilt trip."
~Bo Lozoff
Affirmation: I am comfortable with the process of change
Meditation:
Dear God,
I can do all things through Your powerful presence with and in me. I know that You are greater than every circumstance and situation, every external condition. I accept responsibility for my experience of life. I yield myself to the transforming power of Your love which is manifest in and through me now. Thank You for making my path clear and bright. Thank You, God! Amen

God is my Power and my Joy

"To whom could you liken me and who could be my equal?" asks the Holy One. Lift your eyes and look. Who made these stars if not he who drills them like an army, calling each one by name? So mighty is his power, so great is his strength that not one fails to answer.
~Isaiah 40:25-26

Affirmation: God is my strength and my joy.

Meditation:
Dear God,I feel a strong connection to You today that fills me with joy. When I consider the variety of people on this planet, and the billions of stars in the heavens I am awed. Thank You for the love which binds all things together. Thank You for expressing in, through and as me. Use me as You will.
Amen

Divine Energy

"Feel the energy of your inner body. Immediately mental noise slows down or ceases. Feel it in your hands, your feet, your abdomen, your chest. Feel the life that you are, the life that animates the body"
~Eckhart Tolle
Affirmation: I am filled and fueled by Spirit, which is my source.
Meditation:
Mother/Father God, In this moment I let go of my busyness,
I let go of the past and the future,
I let go of my thoughts and feelings.
I am aware of the energy that moves silently through my body.
I allow my awareness of Your constant presence to expand, encompassing everything around me.
I am aware of the subtle rhythm of All that is and All that is yet to be.
I am aware of the continuous flow of life, expressing Itself though and as me, connecting everything and everyone. continuously expressing and ever changeless.
I have a body but I am not my body.
I have feelings but I am not my feelings.
I have thoughts but I am not my thoughts.
I have work to do, but I am not my work.
I have emotions but I am not my emotions.
I have dreams but I am not my dreams.
I am an individualized expression of the divine energy pattern of life.
I am more than the sum of my knowing. I am more than I ever imagined.
I am that which You are. You are that which I am. I am, fully present, now. Thank You God!

Body Language

"We usually do pay attention to our outer appearance, typically noticing whatever part of our bodies we are unhappy about. It behooves us, however, to get on very good terms with more than just the surface of our bodies as we grow older; for if we don't listen to our bodies and pay attention to our physical needs and pleasures, this vehicle that we need to be running well to take us into a long and comfortable life, will limit what we can do and who we become."
~Jean Shinoda Bolen
Affirmation: I am taking good care of my body temple.
Meditation:
Eternal One, I am grateful for this body form. Looking beyond the surface appearance, I marvel at the miracle of how bones and sinew, blood vessels, tissues and organs work together. I sense the rhythm of life which regulates my activities. In You, I live and move and have my being. Thank you for this physical representation of life. I honor Your creation by taking good care of me. Thank You, God. Amen

Tender Care

"Do not give yourself more attention than you need, but take care of yourself and do not continually slay the God within you. Give opportunities in your daily life for the Christ/Guru/Buddha within to manifest itself. This is what we mean by loving yourself, and this is what meant by ‘Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. ‘ Love peace of mind, love doing the right thing, love living according to divine law."
~White Eagle
Affirmation: I lovingly care for and about myself.
Meditation: Dear God, In the peace of this moment, I can feel You breathe through me. Awareness of You brings a smile to my face; heartfelt gladness washes over me. I invite the (Holy) presence to expand in me, maintaining the perfect balance between doing and being. I care tenderly for myself while remaining focused on You. Sweet Spirit, You are my glory and my hope. As I focus on the rhythm of my breath, I become aware of the sublime rhythm of Life; expressing in and as me. Peace I give to all the world and peace I gratefully receive. All is well.
Thank You, God! Amen

Humanity - Dr. Martin Luther King 1929-1968

"But today our very survival depends on our ability to stay awake, to adjust to new ideas, to remain vigilant and to face the challenge of change. The large house in which we live demands that we transform this world-wide neighborhood into a world-wide brotherhood. Together we must learn to live as brothers or together we will be forced to perish as fools. We must work passionately and indefatigably to bridge the gulf between our scientific progress and our moral progress. One of the great problems of mankind is that we suffer from a poverty of the spirit which stands in glaring contrast to our scientific and technological abundance. The richer we have become materially, the poorer we have become morally and spiritually."
~Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Affirmation: I am spiritually rich and morally strong.
Meditation: Dear God,Today, as we celebrate the birth and life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., we appreciate and are inspired by the ideas that he taught and the timelessness of his words. While humanity has made progress in learning how to live with and love each other, we have not yet manifest the ideal of universal brotherhood. Help us continue the work toward equality and justice for all. Help us see and relate beyond our apparent differences. May it be on Earth as it is in heaven. Amen

How To Entertain an Angel

“Keep on loving all of your brothers and sisters, without leaving anyone out. Don’t ever forget to extend your love to people you don’t even know, for by doing so, many people have entertained angels without ever realizing it!”
~Hebrews 13 1-2
Affirmation: I am opening up my heart.

Meditation:
Dear God, Pierce my heart, for it is through my vulnerability of spirit that I am made whole. I would remove all my blockages to Your love--let me feel the flowing molten compassion that builds new and wondrous connections with others. I would know the tenderness of heart that unites me with every other soul, and truly, with all-that-is. I ask for every help in dissolving the illusion of separateness and opening up to my Oneness with others in You.
Amen

Tolerance

"When nobody around you seems to measure up, it's time to check your yardstick."
~Bill Lemley

AffirmationI am a tolerant, forgiving person.

Meditation:
Dear God,We know that we are not better or worse than anyone else. Each of us is a person in this process of unfolding, discovering who and what we are. We choose to release any thoughts of judgment we may have, whether they are directed at ourselves or some other person. We take time to relax and remember that each person is a reflection of Your sweet and gentle presence. We express our concerns without losing our serenity and composure. We allow love, which is our essential nature, to always have the last word.
Amen

Courage

We must constantly build dykes of courage to hold back the flood of fear.
~Martin Luther King, Jr.

"The definition of courage is the ability to conquer fear or despair. In the past we may have been called courageous because we stayed in circumstances that were difficult or nearly unbearable. We may have felt that walking away from family, children, or friends was cowardly or displayed weakness. We may have felt that by holding back our tears we were stronger people. Yet all the things we may have viewed as weakness are really signs of courage. All the things we believed to be acts of courage were really not courageous at all. If we walked away from difficult or unbearable circumstances, we would be conquering despair. If we cried, we would have been courageous by letting go of our fear, pain, or sadness. Courage doesn't mean putting ourselves in stressful or unpleasant situations. Courage doesn't mean controlling our emotions. Courage is the ability to strengthen ourselves against the fear and despair of life, rather than be drowned by it.What have I done today that took courage? I can be grateful for my courage and strengthen it.

Allow Your Inner Light to Guide You

"There comes a time when you must stand alone. You must feel confident enough within yourself to follow your own dreams. You must be willing to make sacrifices. You must be capable of changing and rearranging your priorities so that your final goal can be achieved. Sometimes, familiarity and comfort need to be challenged. There are times when you must take a few extra chances and create your own realities. Be strong enough to at least try to make your life better. Be confident enough that you won't settle for a compromise just to get by. Appreciate yourself by allowing yourself the opportunities to grow, develop, and find your true sense of purpose in this life. Don't stand in someone else's shadow when it's your sunlight that should lead the way."

As I Am

"If God had wanted me otherwise, He would have created me otherwise."
~Johann von Goethe

Affirmation: I am who God created me to be.

Meditation:
Dear God,
Each of us is an individual expression of You. Today, we celebrate the incredible diversity that exists in the world You have made. We share our unique talents and gifts freely. It takes each of us, being who we are to accurately reflect Your loving spirit. Help us stand tall in the person and personality You have created us to be. Thank You for our lives and the opportunities we have to re-present Your love in the world.

Focus

Whatever we focus on expands...~R

I focus my attention and my eyes on God and not on what I fear.
I focus on Love.
I focus on compassion and kindness.
I focus on what I can do for the people around me.
I focus on me, how I can be a better woman today.
I focus on listening, to my inner voice and to others who need counsel.
I focus on having so much faith, that I can walk this world being giving, loving, positive and optimisitc and that in my childlike attitude and behavior God will protect me.
I focus on God and my surrender to That.

Religion

"Let your religion be less of a theory and more of a love affair."
~Gilbert Keith Chesterton

Affirmation: My religion is to express the love, joy, mercy and peace that God has placed within me.
Meditation: Dear God,
It is easy to talk about You, to speak and teach of Your limitless love for all people. Help us talk with You--to listen and make that love real for each other and for ourselves. Help us love with our attitudes, actions, hearts and minds. It is easy to speak about justice, mercy and forgiveness because they are lovely ideals. May we have the insight and courage to be merciful and just and forgiving. It is easy to repeat creeds and dogmas, to quote from books and sing songs. Guide our experience of You that each of us might express the glory of living in relationship with You. Amen

You are Beyond Being Blessed!

"Blessing is often taught in churches as a sort of passive experience--there is a paternalistic God “up there” and “out there” who bestows upon us some kind of externally-based lucky thing of which we are not seen as being worthy. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Blessing is an inner experience which we, at the very least, invite and cultivate, even generate, through our application and exercise of faith--the creative power of our minds.”~Greg Barrette
Affirmation: I am the blessing that I seek.
Meditation:
Dear God,
I no longer look outside myself for my answers. The blessing that I have been seeking dwells within me. You have empowered me to be the agent of Your blessing in the world. I do not expect an outside power to do it for me. I decide right here and now that Your higher power is flowing through me, healing every condition in my world and moving out and beyond into Your universe. I am the blessing that I have been seeking, and I am so very grateful.

On Doubt

Dear God,

It is comforting to realize that we can openly share our doubts with You.
Beyond clichés, past answers, pretty words and perfect prayers, through dark nights and gray days and in spite of a world which appears to be filled with contradictions, the light of Your loving presence beckons across the ages and encourages our journey.
We come with our questions, doubts and contradictions.
We desire an authentic faith and an honest walk with You.
We seek a personal understanding of Your mysteries, not simply a rehashing of another's understanding.
We drink deeply at the well of Spirit and know that we are on the path to true understanding.
Thank You God!

Pray Carefully

Dear Mother/Father God,

We pray for Your will and the power to live it every day.
We pray that all things might be on Earth as they are in heaven.
We pray that forgiveness and blessing replace any thoughts of judgment we harbor.
We pray that each person might find joy in their life and be filled with hope and peace.
We pray that our thoughts and actions be loving and serve humanity.
We pray for an increased awareness of Your everywhere presence.
We pray that we might be fully present and available to You and Your people.
We pray to be of service to the cause of Love.
We give You our thanks, and we let it be.

Amen

WoW!

"Here is the test to find whether your mission on earth is finished. If you're alive, it isn't." ~Richard Bach

Affirmation: I am amazed and encouraged by the truth that the Creator of the universe is actively creating through me, now.

Meditation:
Dear God, Wow! happens when we remember that we are Yours. Wow! happens when we realize that regardless of what we have done or where we have been, You love us and have always loved us and will always love us. Wow! happens when we understand that You have a plan and a purpose for our lives and we abdicate control in favor of Your will. Wow! happens when we acknowledge that we had a combination of gifts that no one else has. Wow! happens when we decide to use our gifts to bless others. Wow! happens when love happens. Wow! Amen

Buddha Quotes

All that we are is the result of what we have thought. If a man speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain follows him. If a man speaks or acts with a pure thought, happiness follows him, like a shadow that never leaves him.

All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become.

All things appear and disappear because of the concurrence of causes and conditions. Nothing ever exists entirely alone; everything is in relation to everything else.

A question of timing .....

Aloha, Rose ~~~

I've told you that I plan to head to the West Coast when I'm done here in New York, but I keep waffling about when I should actually go. First I decide to leave this summer, then think that next summer would be better, and then think again that I should go this summer.

This summer! Next summer! This summer! Next summer! Ack! <*tearing out what's left of hair*>

Any thoughts?

Peace & Love --

Use your mind...

Use your mind. Remember. Observe. You are not different from others. Most of their experiences are valid for you too. Think clearly and deeply, go into the structure of your desires and their ramifications. They are a most important part of your mental and emotional make-up and powerfully affect your actions. Remember, you cannot abandon what you do not know.
To go beyond yourself, you must know yourself.

Learning

"The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn."
~Alvin Toffler

Affirmation: I am willing to release what is not Truth and open my mind to God.

Meditation:
Dear God,
It is sometimes difficult to release a long held belief even after we know it is not true. Direct our learning so that we know when to let go of what we thought we knew. Expand Your truth in our hearts and minds. We release our doubts, fears and worries and embrace the light of Your wisdom.Teach us Your ways.
Amen

On Meditation

"You are meditating whenever you are engaged in sustained focused attention on anything, and according to (Huna) philosophy such attention channels the energy of the universe into manifesting the physical equivalent of the focus. However, the manifestation is not just the equivalent of what you are looking at, saying, listening to, or doing. It is the equivalent of the sum total of your entire attention, including habitual expectation, during the meditation... (The challenge is) learning how to get (your conscious mind) and (your subconscious mind) to meditate on the same thing at the same time. Then the magic happens."

Excerpt from Urban Shaman by Serge Kahili King

Guided meditation

Glorious Ones, You can either record yourself reading this or have someone else read it to you. It's so relaxing I almost fell asleep typing it! Enjoy! ~R

Breathe slowly and deeply, in through your nose and out through your mouth. Allow your rib cage to expand fully on inhalation and gradually empty on exhalation. Continue slow deep breathing noticing yourself becoming more and more relaxed, more and more calm, relaxed and calm.
Use your five senses to enrich the following experience; allow your mind to generate a personal oasis.
Imagine yourself on a beautiful sandy beach. Notice the soft white sand. Notice the shades of blue in the water. Notice the blue sky with soft white clouds rolling slowly past. Notice the lush tropical plants and flowers.
Listen to the sound of the breeze blowing gently in the trees. Notice the sound of the waves rolling slowly to the shore. Notice the sound of the birds softly calling.
Feel the sunshine warm on your skin, the warm sand underfoot and the cool breeze on your hair and face.
Smell the fresh ocean scent and the sweet fragrance of tropical plants
Notice a pleasant taste in your mouth, perhaps from a tall cool drink.
Notice yourself relaxed and calm, relaxed and calm, relaxed and calm.
Enjoy the feeling of relaxation as it moves from the top of your head slowly down your face, neck, shoulders, chest, arms, abdomen, legs, knees, shins, feet, toes.
Notice yourself relaxed and calm…… relaxed and calm…… relaxed and calm……
When you are ready slowly open your eyes refreshed and awake.

Love Is

"Love is a part of everyone who lives and breathes. Love is a force that binds all people together like drops of water in a mighty ocean. How can you not be of love? If you do not see love within, you have not looked."
~Ron Rathbun

Affirmation : Love is the essence and core of my being.

Meditation:

Holy Spirit, Thank You for the love which fills us and sustains us. In the stillness of meditation, we invite Your love to flow through us. Love is our decision and the direction we take. Love is the pathway we travel. Love is our source and our destination. Love Is! Amen

Since new beginnings i started abudance affirmations. Tomorrow, new supervisor starts tomorrow. My previous supervisor had asked me about my staying,I told her I would stay as long as she did, after that all bets are off. So I hope this is the year,I start the store, and leave the state job. Last week,my computer died,my mom bought me a new one so sweet of her, i am so grateful.

For the New Year

Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web,We do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect."
~Chief Seattle

Affirmation: I am connected with all life.

Meditation:
Great Spirit,I feel the rhythm of life, flowing from You through all things. I am truly grateful for Your spirit, which binds us together. On this first day of the new year, I declare my intentions: to be the person You would have me be, to live in love, with my heart open to all people, to forgive quickly and love unconditionally, to care deeply about the well being of this planet and all the living things here, to co-create peace, to share my gifts and talents as You direct.
Thank You. And so it is.
