I have learned through a wonderful teacher the art of shamanic healing as well as shamanic journey. Today I have been blessed and honored to do a healing for one of my friends.
I had little confidence in my abilty to accomplish such a feat but in a previous healing a woman's wound (a burn from a motorcycle pipe), that was was 2 or 3 years unhealed, healed after the shamanic technique.
It appears these healings work when the "wound" is spiritual, emotional, traumatic and energetic, as well as physical.
The "bad energy" that claims parts of the body can be removed and physical healing can begin.
I have been a nurse in the field of conventionl medicine for almost 40 years. In that time I have decided that conventional diagnosis is good and alternative healing is excellent. I always recommend people see a doctor, I am not a doctor.
Herbal medicines, prayer, alternative therpies like accupunture and ancient medicine should not be discounted. Conventional medicine is not the "only" way. If convetional medicine fails to cure you please consider alternative therapies.

yes you did My reiki initiation felt very similar. I called her three times the first two she did not respond. I contacted Institute for Sharmanic healing, they siad she is only one in HI,so I called a third time,spoke to her in March 2005,she said she would call me back in May when she found a site to hold workshops, she reccommended I read Sharmanic Journeying book which I did and I have drumming cd and tape, have used both in mediatating,and have not heard from her since.
A friend is reccommending I go to CA for grants workshop soI guess I'll look into sharamanic journeying there.
BTW have you read spiritwalker? I just finished it what an amazing book.

I'd love to know your thoughts on Soul Retrieval. I spoke to a local shaman who uses this technique as part of her healing process, and it sounded "good."
