Happy New Year!

Happy New Year my Blessed Goddesses! May 2008 bring to you the fulfillment of all you want and desire. I bless you to hear God's voice clearly in your heart and may your primary attachment be to the God of your own understanding. Trust in your Divine Consciousness, listen to your heart. The force that spins the Earth spins you.
I love you and look forward to being of service.
New Beginnings!
~R

Reflection

"New Year's Eve is like every other night. There is no pause in the march of the universe, no breathless moment of silence among created things that the passage of another twelve months may be noted; and yet no man has quite the same thoughts this evening that come with the coming of darkness on other nights."
~Hamilton Wright Mabie

Affirmation: I make time to reflect on my recent path and progress.

Meditation: Dear God, As this year draws to a close,we reflect on the many events of our lives and in our world. For the many blessings we have enjoyed, we give You our thanks and praise. If we walked though challenges, we give thanks that You were with us through every experience. For many of us, this is a time to evaluate the path we have been on and make any adjustments that might be necessary. Help us make mindful, spiritual resolutions. We bless and release 2007 as we know that the best is yet to be. Thank You. Amen

Happy Kwanzaa !

Kwanzaa is a celebration of family, unity and cooperation anchored in ancient African traditions of the first fruits celebrations. Today we celebrate our connection to all life and our unique individual expressions of the One life. We rejoice that this important lesson is presented by the children and teens of our church. Together in the spirit of Umoja (Unity) we establish a powerful intention for the New Year as we co-create a community within which all persons are honored and valued as members of the human family. Our joint purpose (Nia) is to bring forth the love that is our essential truth.~Ric Beattie

Affirmation:I am a unique emanation of the One life.
Meditation: Dear God, You are the very life that we live. With harmony of purpose and intention, We seek to demonstrate Your kingdom in our hearts and in our world. Today, we celebrate our unity and collective purpose. Thank You God for revealing and expressing Your presence in so many wonderful ways. May our experience of life reflect Your light. Amen

Some Hope for 2008?

It's been a financial struggle of late and I'm wondering if it will be better soon. I'm taking on a second job to help pay some bills down and doing some extreme belt tightening. It can be depressing!

Will 2008 be a better year for us financially? Will our income improve to the point where we won't have to worry about every little thing?

Mahalo and Namaste! I wish your whole family a prosperous and Joyous New Year!

Take care and thanks again!

Charity

"If we could all hear one another's prayers, God might be relieved of some of His burdens."
~Ashleigh Brilliant

Affirmation: Guided by Spirit and centered in charity, I act with love.

Meditation:
Dear God,
Help us to act upon what we believe. All over the world, people are praying for peace, enough food to eat and clean water to drink, increased love in their lives, cures for diseases of every kind, an end to loneliness and despair, and joy to fill their hearts. Help us awaken to the truth that You work through us and in us. Teach us that love is a verb.
Amen

Kathi and SKJL

Good morning Miss Kat and Sir SL

Enjoyed your post, thank you. Working alot will help him not deal with the grief but after so many intimate losses I truly believe he needs a short stint at grief counseling. Repressing it has already given him a heart attack, which is a wake-up call for sure. Please extend my deepest condolences to him on all of his losses.

Take comfort in knowing the immortality of the soul is real and there is a high probability that reincarnation is real. It appears realistic to know that our deceased loved ones exist in us and they manifest to us through forms of nature. The Ones we miss the most come to us when we silently summon them.

I was just talking this morning about how there seems to be so many endings as the year rolls to a close. In numerology 2007 = 9 and the 9 symbolizes endings, closure.
2008 = 10 = 1. One is the number of new beginnings. Hence now is the time for optimism.

Death comes to everything in its time. The material world is the illusion. Prayer and meditation connect us to the reality which never dies, never ends. We contain the the permanent, it is our "soul". It's our birthright, this immortality. Do not identify with the body, identify with the Divinity. We are particles of Forever.

love and warm hugs,
~R

Focus and Intention

"Never give consideration to things you do not want to happen."
~David Baird

Affirmation: I choose my thoughts and intentions carefully.

Meditation:

Dear God,
We focus our attention and our intentions on Your will. We know that we serve the purposes of Love when we stand up tall in our lives. Help us to continue to stay focused on experiencing and expressing Love. Amen

Whoa...

Aloha, Rose! And happy holidays to everyone here! It has been a tremendously busy and stressful two months here. But now that the holidays are over and my pockets are empty :), it is time for me to re-group and get life reorganized.

I am writing on behalf of a friend who has been going through a tremendously sad and strange holiday season. His initial's are SKJL and birthdate is 04/17/84. It all first started with the death of his nephew MKISL 04/06/06 on Novemeber 27th. He seemed to take the death of such a young child with grace and acceptance. The day of his nephew's funeral, he also attended the funeral of a close friend's mother who he was very close to. That evening, his own father(LKL 05/17/1948) passed away all of a sudden, most likely from the stress of losing the grandson. He had a heart attack.

Another of his close friends lost a beloved family pet that was run over by a car around this time and SKJL just found out this same friend's grandmother passed away yesterday. And then(as if all this wasn't already enough!), he also found out a best friend has an illness that can be life-threatening.

We work together and there has been other deaths among us...my son's very close friend lost his battle to multiple sclerosis at the end of Novemeber and another co-worker's friend was killed in a car accident last week.

He is just wondering what is up with all the death's? We have been joking that God must be pretty bored and needed our loved one's to cheer him up. Why is he surrounded by it this season? I told him it's definitely something that his higher power wants him to examine in his life. He's been trying to keep it together by working ALOT. But I think even he is starting to see things getting to be a bit too much. What is going on? He would like to know why? I want to help him find comfort.

Thank you, Rose! I know this was kind of long winded...

Love and light-
Kat

In memory of Benazir Bhutto

Our prayers and condolences for Benazir Bhutto and her family as well as for the people of
Pakistan.

As the first woman to lead a predominantly Muslim nation, Ms. Bhutto lived her life with courage, brilliance and dignity that is beyond what we have seen in decades.

This is a great loss to our world as a whole.

Gratitude

"If the only prayer you said in your whole life was, 'thank you,' that would suffice."
~Meister Eckhart

Affirmation: I am filled with gratitude and thanksgiving.

Meditation:

Mother/Father/God,
We come to You with grateful hearts for the many ways we have been blessed. We raise our thoughts and give You praise, notbecause You need it, but because we want to. For each experience of life, for all our joys and sorrows, for our successes and seeming failures, we say, "Thank You, God." And we let it be. Amen

Genuine

"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -I took the one less traveled by,And that has made all the difference."
~Robert Frost

Affirmation: I am committed to the journey that is mine.

Meditation:
Dear God,
There are many crossroads in our lives. Some jump out and make much noise, and some are barely noticeable. Help us remain true to that path, which is our own. Increase our awareness of the choices we make. All things work together for good as we trust in Your presence as our only guide. We let it be according to Your will. Amen

One Flaw In Women

Women have strengths that amaze men.
They bear hardships and they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up to injustice.
They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about a birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.
They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning.
They bring joy, hope and love.
They have the compassion and ideas.
They give moral support to their family and friends. Women have vital things to say and everything to give.
HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN, IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.
Never forget your worth my Goddesses...love,Rose
