interesting day

Hi Rose,
I am in training for my job. While on a break, a co-worker started mentioned a couple jobs he would apply for after his probation is up. which got me thinking about different positions in the state: Staff Devlopment Office or First to Work.
What do you think?

I witnessed a miracle this morning!

Goddesses

It is my normal routine to wake up at 4am. I go upstairs to my lanai (balcony) and silently observe the stars and vibration of the hour. This morning what I saw took my breath away!
There was a huge cloud that appeared as 2 perfectly shaped gigantic wings! I let my eyes soften out of focus and I beheld the largest angel I have ever seen! My mouth dropped open in awe! I couldn't close my mouth. I felt so protected at that moment and more! The angel was so huge I knew the enitre island was protected. I stood this way for many moments.

I tore myself away to repect my altar then went back to the lanai. The angel was gone completely. I looked into a cloudless sky black and full of stars and said "Thank You God"..

WoW!

Court

Aloha Rose,

This is a subject that we're both tired of. We go to court on 12-20-05. Will this case be delayed or will it continue with our win, lc 9-16-61? How will the results of this case be? This will be our last hearing but at least we're all on better terms now that I've let go and let God. Our daughter asc 5-31-89, is having a hard time adjusting and now maturing and coming to the realization of life's rollercoaster and she want to get off. We haven't told asc that we're planning on moving until we have more finality. How will she handle this? And what will happen to her?

Job Offer

Aloha Rose,

I pray that you had a wonderfully blessed Thanksgiving! I'm thankful for so much and I'm thankful for you. For you have shown me to not invite negativity in my life and worry about things that I have no control over. Thank you!

I've been trying to settle a claim I've placed against an insurance company. Any idea when we'll have this settled and how much? This gentleman has been dragging his feet and I would love to have this case settled by Christmas. The one thing that's always important to me is happiness for my family. I love to spoil them and see those beautiful smiles that just make me melt. Will I be able to give them a wonderful Christmas. This has been a pretty tough 2005 for me although with God's blessing and prayer, I have prevailed. I'm proud of me. I've lost alot of weight and I've let alot of things go. dlc 4-22-66

I pray that I'll be seeing you by next summer. Be blessed!

Stay Cool Bloggies

Aloha Goddesses

Out and about this holiday weekend I couldn't help but notice how many people were uptight, rude and stressed out. It wasn't until I crossed paths with a woman who was entering the elevator I was exiting. We made eye contact and she flashed me the most beautiful happy peaceful smile, which I returned.
I intellectually understand the shopping and advertising pressures that intensify now. I am writing to ask you to stay above it all, to stay calm and to be that woman flashing the beautiful happy smile.
Celebrate the joy of the season with gratitude, natural loving generosity toward yourself and others. Appreciate each day for the miracles it holds waiting to reveal themselves to You.
You are sacred and precious. Don't believe otherwise, nor in the negativity that may surround us.

A Small Piece of Desiderata

Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.

Your Thoughts

"You are today where your thoughts have brought you, you will be tomorrow where your thoughts take you."
James Allen (l864-1912)

Feeling a little blue .....

Rather than facing the piles of housework that need my attention, I've spent the afternoon "Googling" old friends/acquaintances/classmates -- kind of a "where are they now?" activity.

I haven't found everyone I've looked for, but I have found several, and ..... holey moley ..... they've all (apparently) done way cool things in theatre, films and TV (which is the venue in which I originally knew them).

I recognize that everyone has different life paths -- as well as different levels of talent -- and that not everyone who tries a certain field succeeds in that field.

And, yet, I'm now (and not for the first time) wishing that I'd been a better student, tried a little harder, had a lot more self-confidence, etc., etc., etc., so that I might have similar success.

*sighs*

Just wanted to share .....

Patience and Understanding

"Here's something to keep in mind as you go through this
hectic day. The person who benefits most from your patience
is you.

Yes, you'll come across many people who are rude, annoying
and self-centered. But does it really serve any positive
purpose for you to sink to their depths of negativity?

Instead, take the opportunity to rise to a higher level of
peacefulness and understanding. Take the opportunity to
practice and strengthen your patience.

Patience and understanding will take you to places where
anger, frustration, confusion and anxiety can never reach.
Patience and understanding put you in a position of real
power and effectiveness.

Practice patience, and you will build real strength. Live
with patience and understanding, and a whole new world of
valuable opportunities will open up to you.

There's nothing to be gained by reacting to rudeness and
anxiety with more rudeness and anxiety of your own making.
Respond instead with patience and understanding, and you'll
make your world a much better place."

Hi Rose,
Happy Thanksgiving! I'm SO busy with school and work right now. I know you said there would be a new man in November but I think I've been running around too much that I may have ran past him. I also found out today that I have a chest infection. The doctor gave me antibiotics, so I should be better in no time! I'm going to Switzerland in two weeks :) and home for Christmas in 3 1/2 weeks :) I'm thinking about what to do my thesis on. Can't decide between "Personality and Job Performance" or "Demand-Control Theory of Occupational Stress" Do one of these stick out at you?

Experience Joy

"Every time you experience joy, there is one less person
feeling pain. Each time you spread joy to another, the
positive power of that joy begins to multiply.

There is no limit to how far and wide the joy can spread
when you send it out beyond you. There is no telling what
goodness will eventually result when you choose to nurture
and send forth joy from your life.

To be truly joyful is not a self-centered pursuit. It is one
of the most generous things you can do.

For your joy is infectious. The more sincerely you love
life, the better life becomes for all those who come near
you.

The joy you know will go out beyond you, out into a world
where it will truly make a difference. Each moment lived in
joy is a brilliance that can light the deepest darkness.

Give your heart the experience of joy. And that joy will
expand far beyond you."

More Thanksgiving

Focus Now

"Right now you have available to you everything you need to
take one step forward. Once you take that step, you will
have even more available to you to keep going.

The more persistently you move forward, step by step, the
more momentum you build. And it is a process that you can
begin at any time.

Focus on the one step that you can take right now. Let go of
all regrets and resentment about what has already happened.

Let go of all fears and anxieties about what may be yet to
come. Put your energy into where you are, and use that
energy to do what you can in this moment.

Though there may be noise and confusion all around, you can
transcend all those distractions. Decide to focus on the
task at hand, for that is what will move you forward.

Think of how great it feels to be moving in a positive,
productive direction. Focus your energy right now and make
it happen."

Ralph Marston

Be In the NOW

Question on "Wholeness"

Aloha, Rose ~~~

I really appreciate your Ralph Marston quotes -- they are always to the point and insightful. This one really struck a chord:

"By the same token, any negativity in one part of
your life will exert unfavorable influence on other parts of your life.
Everything that is a part of you is a part of all of you."

This is definitely a truism for me, and therein lies my question:

What's the best way to eliminate the negativity that might be darkening other aspects of your life?

Your thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Wholeness

Aloha my gorgeous Bloggies,

"Do something positive and valuable in one area of your life,
and every other part of your life will benefit from it. The
joy you create and experience in one setting will go with
you into other situations.

By the same token, any negativity in one part of your life
will exert unfavorable influence on other parts of your
life. Everything that is a part of you is a part of all of
you.

When you work to improve your skill at one task, it brings
added confidence to all other tasks that you undertake. When
you nurture a true sense of peace in your home life, your
life at work becomes more calm and peaceful as well.

No single part of you can be separated from the wholeness of
who you are. Each thought, each action, each feeling is
connected to all others.

Your health, your career, your family, your faith, your
learning, your interests and enjoyments are all intertwined
with each other. And as such, you always have countless
specific opportunities to nurture and lift up the whole of
your life.

Give your very best to each and every aspect of your life.
An abiding sense of excellence and integrity will add much
to the whole of your world."

Past Your Ego

"When you get past your own ego, life can change dramatically
for the better. For when you get away from your ego, you get
away from many of the fears and limitations that hold you
back.

When your ego is in control, everything you think, say, and
do is all about you. That sets you up for an enormous amount
of worry, anxiety, envy, fear, anger and despair.

Imagine being free of all that. Think of the times when
you've become so absorbed in something so fully that you
forgot about yourself, and recall how effective and
energetic that made you.

When you get past your ego, you are free to do what you know
is right, rather than being constantly worried about what
other people would think. When you get past your ego, you
can put all your energy into the task of the moment, instead
of being angry about the past or anxious about the future.

Your ego has only the power that you give it. You can choose
at any time to free yourself from the limitations it imposes
on you.

Allow yourself to venture past your own ego. You'll find the
freedom and effectiveness to be exhilarating."

Job Question

Aloha, Rose ~~~

I'm still teaching at the same school where I was hired last year, and things are going well except for one thing. As best I can tell, my Principal has decided that she no longer wants me on her staff and is going to try to fire me at the end of the school year, despite the fact that the kids are learning more and causing fewer disruptions than ever before.

I'm working on the assumption that I'm going to have to find a new job by Fall, and am actually hoping I can find something sooner.

Do you have any insights on this, or perhaps suggestions on where to look?

Hi Rose,

I love this...

I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright
I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive
I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess

Reminded me of you when I read it, sounds like something you would say!

Statement of Principle # 10 - Day 40!

"I keep my mind and thoughts off "this world" and I place my entire focus on God within as the only Cause of my prosperity. I acknowledge the Inner presence as the only activity in my financial affairs, as the substance of all things visible. I place my faith in the Principle of Abundance in action within me."

I am so happy to have completed these 40 days. The Abundance and the Source are apparent. Something inside of me is telling me to do these again....soon.
I hope those of you who have chosen to participate in this "exercise" are also enjoying the gift.

Aloha darling woman,

Statement of Principle # 9 - Day 39

"When I am aware of the God-Self within me as my total fulfillment I am totally fulfilled. I am now aware of this Truth. I have found the secret of life, and I relax in the knowledge that the Activity of Divine Abundance is eternally operating in my life. I simply have to be aware of the flow, the radiation, of that Creative Energy, which is continuously, easily and effortlessly pouring forth from my Divine Consciousness. I am now aware. I am now in the flow."

A Poem by Tz'u-mon

This is the work of the Chinese Pure Land master of the 8th century:

"That Buddha, in his bodhisattva stage, made the universal vow:
When beings hear my Name and think on me, I will come and welcome them.
Not discriminating at all between the poor and the rich and well born.
Not discriminating between the inferior and the highly gifted;
Not choosing the learned and those who uphold pure precepts.
Not rejecting those who break precepts and whose evil karma is profound.
Solely making beings turn about and abundantly say the Name,
I can make bits of rubble change into gold."

Statement of Principle # 8 - Day 38

"My consciousness of the Spirit within me as my unlimited Source is the Divine Power to restore the years the locusts have eaten, to make all things new, to lift me up to the High Road of abundant prosperity. This awareness, understanding and knowledge of Spirit appears as every visible form and experience that I could possibly desire."

Trying to figure it all out.....

Hello Rose, I am trying to figure something out... At my work (A Subway), There is a man that comes in about each week....The last couple weeks he has either been VERY friendly with me, or is interested in me.. He is from India, He's very bold with his comments....I dont know his name or anything, he said he teaches Meditation, which of course peaked my interest. I am uncomfortable with the fact that he is from India, only because of the negative info i have heard thru the past years about how they treat women....I also know my heart still belongs to REB 1-20-51, ( He is still distant, i have no idea about our future, you just had told me that our relationship is not over. Just give him time. Goodness, my head spins...!!!! SMB 8-12-64 Sandy

"The Divine Consciousness that I am is forever expressing its true nature of Abundance. This is its responsibility, not mine. My only responsibility is to be aware of this Truth. Statement of Principle # 5 - Day 35

"Money is not my supply. No person, place or condition is my supply. My awareness, understanding and knowledge of the all-providing activity of the Divine Mind within me is my supply. My consciousness of this Truth is unlimited, therefore, my supply is unlimited."
